ACS Publications - online service of the American Chemical Society. It gives access to full texts of 44 scientific journals on chemical and related sciences. Archival issues are also available.

ANALYTICA

Analytica EBC is a platform that offers access to a collection of analytical methods issued by the European Brewery Convention. The database presents a set of analytical methods for brewing, starting from raw materials, through descriptions of process parameters, to the finished, packaged product.
The web version (not paid) provides only the number, title and short description of the method.
Full access to the database offers access to the entire description of a given brewing method, it is available to logged-in users.
The database is available in the OIN Reading Room (1st floor, building U).

CAMBRIDGE CORE eBOOK

The database offers full access to e-book collection from Cambridge University Press, publisher of academic books.
As a part of the subscription, the Library has access to over 2800 books from the Economy and Management collection. The collection is updated monthly.
The Library's subscription is based on EBA Model (Evidence-Based Acquisition). After a year of usage, the reader's applications and suggestions will decide which e-books will be included in the Library's collection. As part of the subscription, it is possible to download individual book chapters.
Database users can set up an individual account, download chapters in PDF, export to Kindle, Google Drive, Dropbox and save data to bibliography managers, including Mendeley.

The license allows:
  • access to the database WITHOUT PASSWORD on the premises of the university and through a proxy server
  • access for an unlimited number of simultaneous users

CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS

Cambridge University Press database’s license includes access to the full texts of 248 journals from the HSS collection (Humanities and Social Sciences) and access to journals and books under Open Access.
The license allows:
  • access to the database WITHOUT PASSWORD at the university
  • access to current issues of magazines and archival issues of HSS collections under license.

DOAJ

DOAJ - Directory of Open Access Journal - a service giving full access to over 5000 titles of electronic scientific periodicals from such disciplines as: biology, chemistry, mathematics, sociology and political sciences. DOAJ is connected with a movement called Open Access, whose idea is giving free on-line access to texts of articles and scientific works.

EBSCO

EBSCO - a multidisciplinary platform of databases. It gives access to 13 full text and bibliographical bases (such as: EconLit - Full Text, Business Source Complete, Academic Search Complete, Regional Business News).

The database contains full texts of articles from scientific and popular - scientific periodicals and American newspapers. Articles are linked with photographic documentation.

The database can be searched by subject- a few databases at a time. Users can also create their own profiles, change the language of an interface (24 languages) and translate articles into 30 languages.

The database has also an option of visual search.

EMERALD

The database gives access to selected electronic versions of scientific journals from such disciplines as: accounting, finance, education management, healthcare management, information and knowledge management, human resource management, logistics management. It also includes book and article reviews, interviews and case studies.

Emerald is also a teaching zone which gives access to 2 special sections: For authors: Information about all aspects of writing and publishing. For researchers: Information about the latest research results in the mentioned areas.

EMIS INTELLIGENCE EMERGING MARKETS INFORMATION SERVICE

Emerging Markets Information Service [EMIS] delivers news, company and financial information about emerging markets in Central, Southern and Eastern Europe. It gives access to a few thousand information resources in local language and in English.

The database contains full texts of press and agency articles, financial statements of public and independent companies, branch reports, reports of trade, stock exchange data, statistics and macroeconomic data from leading sources of domestic and international information. The subscription contains EMIS Intelligence database.

EUROSTAT

EUROSTAT database

To make possible the use of confidential Eurostat microdata, Wrocław University of Economics and Business has been added to the list of recognized research units. UEW was labelled as 2015/086/PL; one should use this code when contacting with Eurostat. The use of microdata may improve quality of research and chances of aquiring funds from NCN or NCBiR. To provide secured and monitored access to confidential data, each interested scholar should submit to Eurostat an indyvidual research proposal, wchich is mandatory to get access to microdata. IBUK LIBRA

The database gives access to electronic books in Polish. The service contains electronic versions of handbooks and scientific books from different subject areas, published by leading Polish publishers (such as PWN, WAM, Wydawnictwa Naukowo-Techniczne, Wydawnictwa Akademickie i Profesjonalne, Wydawnictwo Naukowe Scholar).

The Library subscribes more than 400 books, mostly on economic, social and natural sciences, mathematics and humanities. The database allows up to 5 users at a time. Adobe Flash Player is required; Cookies and JavaScript have to be enabled. Ibuk can be used via mobile devices.

Additionaly, after registrating as an individual user (myIBUK), the reader can add bookmarks, tags and notes, as well as placing the book on a virtual shelf.

JSTOR

JSTOR - An electronic archive of scientific periodicals dating back to the first issues - to the XVII and XVIII Centuries, without access to current issues (a so-called moving wall - 3-5 years back). This is a full-text database representing several academic disciplines gathered in three collections: mathematics, statistics and business.

It is also possible to browse periodicals from such areas as: biological sciences, business, economics, education, finance, general science, history, philosophy, public policy and administration, sociology and statistics.

NATURE

A Journal published by the Nature Publishing Group, which belongs to Macmillan Publisher. The journal was established by a physicist Norman Lockyer in the year 1869.

NATURE contains articles describing scientific discoveries from the area of natural and technical sciences. It belongs to the most prestigious scientific periodicals. Articles submitted for publication are assessed by independent reviewers.

NATURE is a top ranked journal and has one of the highest journal Impact Factor indicators (about 30). The license for NATURE covers access to current volumes and to archival volumes from the last 4 years. (it means that in 2010 there is access to volumes 2006- 2010, in 2011- to volumes 2007- 2011 etc.). Volumes since the year 2010 will be archived on a domestic (national) server. The journal is available from a server of the publisher Nature Publishing Group.

OECD

OECD - The database gives access to electronic publications of the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development). It contains books, reports, working papers, periodicals and databases created by the OECD. It covers the following subjects: agriculture, education, taxes, nuclear energy, ecology, information technologies, the development of rural and municipal areas, statistical methods and resources, social issues, migration and health.

ORBIS

Orbis is the world’s most powerful comparable data resource on private companies. Use Orbis to find, analyze and compare companies. Orbis has information on more than 360 million companies across the globe. The data come from more than 160 separate providers, and hundreds of own sources of the database publisher.

Important! By default, a user is logged in as an “anonymous user”, without the rights to export data. To export the data ask a librarian in Reading Room (1st floor, building U) or in OIN Reading Room (1st floor, building U). Employees of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business are allowed to have their own named accounts, with export rights. The maximal number of named concurrent users is 10.

Eikon is a set of software products provided by Refinitiv for financial professionals to follow and analyze financial information. The database provides access to real-time market data, news, analytics, trading and messaging tools. Eikon provides data on asset classes including Foreign Exchange, Money Markets, Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Funds, and Real Estate.

ScienceDirect - The database contains full texts of articles from electronic versions of scientific periodicals of the following publishers: Elsevier, Academic Press and Harcourt Health Science. It is multidisciplinary and contains titles since the year 1995. It is currently updated. Accessible from the page of ICM and from the page of the database publisher.

SCOPUS

Scopus is an interdisciplinary database containing abstracts and citations from the mathematical, natural, technical, medical sciences and the humanities. It offers access to over 18 000 journal titles and other publications, with about 60% apart from the USA. Updated daily.

SPRINGER

The database gives access to full texts of books and periodicals published by Springer Verlag. Since the year 2010 periodicals and books are available under a national academic licence.
Springer periodicals and books are available on two platforms: of the publisher-SpringerLink and of the ICM Infona. Updates are daily and automatic.
The collection includes current and archived electronic issues of periodicals and archived book series.

TAYLOR & FRANCIS Online

Taylor & Francis Online is a multidisciplinary journal database. The Main Library subscription includes over 120 journal titles from the Business Management & Economics 2018 collection available to users in full texts. The collection of journals delivers 20th year archive (from 1998) to current issues.

WEB OF SCIENCE

Web of Science - a platform containing databases of the firm Thompson Reuters, inclusive of abstract-bibliometric databases, citation indexes and derivative bibliometric databases. Citation indexes contain abstracts, basic bibliographic data and information on citations from periodicals from the Master Journal List.

The Thompson license for the year 2010 consists of: Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) - an interdisciplinary bibliographic database indexing over 5 700 periodicals from over 164 disciplines- basic sciences, life sciences, agriculture, medicine, technical sciences and others.

Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) - gives access to data from about 1 400 scientific periodicals from 50 disciplines of social sciences. The content is supplemented by data concerning social sciences derived from 3 200 interdisciplinary periodicals. The date range: 1956- 2010.

Arts& Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) - contains data from about 1140 scientific periodicals on humanities, inclusive of such disciplines as: architecture, linguistics, philology, literature, study of religion, art, study of theatre. The date range: 1975-2010.

Conference Proceedings Citation Index – Science (parts of Science and Social Science and Humanities)- gives access to published literature from the most important conferences, symposiums, seminaries and workshops from all over the World. The date range: 1990- 2010

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) - an interdisciplinary database, which is a basic tool of assessing the scientific value of periodicals. This database contains nformation on the Impact Factor indicator for the given title in the given year. The date range 2008-2015.
