Zawiera on unikalne komentarze i artykuły odnośnie inspirujących odkryć w nauce i technologii. Scientific American to możliwość poznania różnorodnych obszarów nauki, z naciskiem na pojawiające się trendy i nowości (w roku 2011 magazyn został nagrodzony National Magazin Awards w kategorii Finance, Technology and Lifestyle). Baza oferuje dostęp do recenzowanych artykułów z 27 czasopism, m.in.: IEEE Software, IEEE Internet Computing, IEEE Security & Privacy, IEEE Design & Test of Computers, Computing in Science & Engineering oraz do ponad 4.100 materiałów konferencyjnych. Lex Gamma, published by Wolters Kluwer is the legal database providing access to full-text primary source legal materials such as consolidated texts of acts and regulations published in official journals. Lex Gamma offers users also access to secondary source materials such as legal reference materials or law analysis of a legal topic or jurisdiction (courts’ decisions). Access to the database is possible at whole library (or via proxy server), but please take into consideration, that number of simultaneous logging to database is limited.

All readers are welcome to use wireless Internet access in the area of the Library (Open Access Area, hall, ground floor). The name of the shared network is DCINiE - External. Connecting to the wireless network does not require any passwords or authentication codes and is free of charge. Note: We are in the testing phase, so they still may be problems with connecting to the network, or the connecting may take longer than usual in such cases.
